A treat for your cat! Our Plague Rats are handmade by us from natural linen, wool and leather. Stuffed with our tried and tested blend of top quality catnip herb and coarsely chopped valerian root, your cat will be delighted to 'protect' you from this fearsome beastie.

These cat toys represent exceptional value, most cat owners find that their cat will still be interested in this toy up to a year or more after first playing with it. The secret is the chunks of valerian root which withstand repeated attention even from the most intrepid hunter.

Be warned though, we have had reports of cats opening the parcels containing these rats on the doormat before you get to them! Our own cat tries to steal them even whilst we are making them. Colour of rattie eyes and tail may vary.

Please remember that catnip and valerian are effectively intoxicants for cats, we don't recommend these for young kittens, they are just a bit too strong for them, and plague rats are not intended as toys for children due to small parts.

We try to keep good stocks of plague rats available but there is sometimes a short wait of a week or so whilst we concoct fresh supplies. One quick note on postage, we are at the mercy of the new Royal Mail post prices as of start April 2013, and all small parcels up to a kilo in weight go out at the same post price of £3. That means it may be worth getting together with a friend and stocking up on ratsies to get the best value out of your parcel- you can fit about 15-20 ratties into a parcel before it tips over into the next weight bracket.
