Plain Silk Nightcap -to order
Carefully hand made using two strands of the same undyed silk we use for our stockings on an antique hand cranked circular knitting machine and finished with a neat tassel, this simple but elegant nightcap is lustrous and feels delicious on.
Perfect for Georgian, Regency and early Victorian impressions, this silk is suitable for dyeing if you wish to alter its shade at some future point. Although the cap is quite flexible, we think it works best on small to medium heads, over about a 23 inch circumferemce it starts looking a bit stretched. Unstretched measurements (flat) 10 inches across by about 10.5 tall excluding tassel.
Made to order. The way our order book is currently working, we open the shop approximately once a month for new commissions and shut it again once we have as many orders as we think we can realistically make over the next 6 weeks or so. Please be aware that your order may fall anywhere into that timescale. We'll always aim to be as prompt as we can.
