Scholar's cap -to order
Based on a style of hat seen on sixteenth century scholars, and related to the Canterbury Cap still in use by the Anglican Church, our Scholar’s Cap is a comfortable, square brimmed cap with a flap that covers the ears and back of the neck.
Several variations are possible, I can make it with a subtle or a distinct cross on the top or without, make the ear flaps longer or shorter, add a central stalk or not, with a wider or narrower crown, just let me know your preferences in the notes at checkout. The images show a smooth topped version and standard length ear flaps in both wider and narrower crowns in black, and a subtle cross top in navy.
I can also line this with linen for you if desired, a half lining just covers the earflap section, a full lining the whole hat, please add the relevant option to your order. Pretty much any colour you like, just let me know your preferences.
Made to order. The way our order book is currently working, we open the shop approximately once a quarter for new commissions and shut it again once we have as many orders as we think we can realistically make over the next three months or so. Please be aware that your order may fall anywhere into that timescale. We'll always aim to be as prompt as we can.
